I can’t hear me.
I can’t hear myself if I don’t say anything.
This blog is an experiment in hearing myself.
Sometimes I get stuck thinking something, and I can’t reflect on the pros and cons until I hear myself say it out loud.
Ever have someone say, “We are picking up lunch for the group. Would you prefer pizza or Chinese?
”I don’t care, you choose.”
”Ok, we’re getting pizza.”
And then it hits you - you want Chinese. You didn’t realize it until the option closed.
Sometimes you have to say it out loud, hear your own output, and then - boom. You see it’s error. Well, here we are. I’m saying it.
Try it. Tell someone what you want. Doesn’t matter what it is. Just practice saying things out loud. Try saying things that you don’t actually want - and see how it feels!
